For God so loved the lord.
Hello everyone. Welcome welcome welcome. I pray that everyone is well and in good spirits. Let’s dive right In. Sacrifice. What a powerful word. It is a word that can be used loosely at times but it can also be very impactful. For example, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). What more of the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross. Let’s back up a little bit.
Definition of sacrifice
What does the word sacrifice actually mean? One of the definitions of sacrifice is an act of giving up something valued for the sake of something else regarded as more important or worthy. So our Heavenly Father gave up His only Son, “something” of value, for “something” else regarded as more important. Think about it, our God sacrificed His Son for you–and for me. He saw us so valuable that He gave up His ONLY Son for us. Praise God! Imagine the kind of sacrificial love this is. The sacrificial love we have for our children is only but a glimpse to the love our Lord and Savior has for them. Don’t get me wrong we will put our lives on the line for our kids. We would take on all their burdens and carry their cross if we could. As genuine and as true as that love is, it doesn’t compare to the love God, their Heavenly Father has for them as their CREATOR!
I pray this blesses you all!
Love you all.
Your friend in Christ,
M.J.
