Love
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone. I pray everyone is well. On this special day, I pray you take the time out to reflect on the love that our Heavenly Father has for us. We all know the Sunday school nursery rhyme “Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.” We can all confess of His love for us. We even know scriptures that reflects of His love. For example, one of my favorite scriptures, John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” What an awesome God we serve. Let’s look at this from the perspective of the love we have for our children. I can say with bold confidence that we ALL love our children. We would sacrifice ourselves so our children would have everything they so desire. Mom, dad do you remember the first day you held your child in your arms? You fell so deeply in love with that little human you would do everything to protect and care for that child.
God’s love
Now imagine that’s just a small percentage of the love that our Heavenly Father has for you and your child. It is only a glimpse of what His true love is. What an awesome thought. Romans 8:38-39 says “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor power, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” NOTHING and I mean NOTHING can separate you or your child from the love of Christ. That is such an amazing promise to stand on. Autism or no autism, He loves your child more than you can ever even understand. So as we go into our Valentine’s Day celebrations with our loved ones please know that our Heavenly Father loves us more than we could ever imagine. He sent His ONLY Son to die on the cross for us, for our sins. Let’s be a reflection of His love today and everyday. Let’s learn to love as He does and continue to stand on His everlasting promises.
